Sweet baby boy,
You have had a very fun and exciting month! You had your first Halloween and dressed up like a cow. Brother was a cowboy...you two made quite the team.
You also traveled to Texas and met a lot of your family members for the first time--your uncle Ryan, Aunt Ashley, Uncle Brandon, Aunt Jen, your cousins Ryley, Asher, and Kaytlyn, Big PaPa (your great grandpa), Great Aunt Peggy, and Great Aunt Pam. Mommy enjoyed seeing you with them. You loved watching brother play with your cousins, and you probably can't wait to join in on the fun. You did pretty well on the flights, although you don't like sitting still for too long.
You still hate baby food--both homemade and store-bought, however you are a big fan of table foods like Gerber puffs and tiny pieces of green beans. Mommy was surprised you could start these so young, but Dr. W gave the okay. Perhaps you'll skip baby food altogether? Not a bad idea... :)
Your favorite play thing at the moment? Magazines! Mommy watches you closely, though, to make sure you don't eat them. You are starting to army crawl, which means mommy has to make sure some of brothers toys (and mommy's magazines) don't make it to your play area. It's time to start child-proofing...again! I can't keep up with your curious little mind. I've enjoyed watching you interact more with everything around you. Another cute thing you do is stick your arms straight out as if you are flying. Super Gabe to the rescue!
Speaking of rescuing...your big bro Noah is VERY protective of you! If someone even speaks to you, he yells "Stop! That's MY Gabe!" He's a good guy to have on your side. :) He loves coming with me when you wake up in the morning or from your naps. And he loves giving you toys to play with...as long as they aren't toys he wants to play with.
You currently have your first cold (a little gift from brother), which you are handling like a champ. In fact, when I brought out the bulb syringe to suction your nose, you actually laughed! It was the funniest thing! You no longer laugh at it, but you also don't scream...which is a big change from another little guy I know. Other than needing a little extra TLC, you are still your sweet little self. Hopefully, the cold is on its way out.
You are still my happy, little snuggle bug, and I'm so thankful you are mine.
